North Alabama is one of the most beautiful areas in the
Southeast, and I'm fortunate to have lived here my
entire life.
When I was just knee high, my Dad began
to teach me how to fish for bluegill and crappie on the Tennessee
River. I didn't get to go with Dad every time he went
which I believe made my desire to fish even greater. At the
age of 13 Dad began to let me take the small tri-hull boat
with 25hp motor out by myself in Roseberry Creek located
on Guntersville Lake. Dad never had the patience to bass
fish, but I began to discover it was awesome and much more
exciting than catching crappie and bluegill.
Spending virtually
every weekend camping in Jackson County Park in Scottsboro,
Alabama I learned every little nook and cranny. At the age
of 17, I joined a local bass club and tried to learn more
about bass fishing. A few years later I purchase my first
bass boat, a 17ft Challenger with 115hp motor, and started
learning other lakes in the area. During this time my knowledge
of bass fishing continued to develop and I began to win local
bass club tournaments.
As the years went by my fishing bass
club tournaments didn't fulfill the competitive desire
I had. Looking for more, I moved on to more competitive tournament
trails like US Angler's Choice, BFL, PBF, B.A.I.T.
and other large open tournaments. With my success I then
chose to become a full time guide on North Alabama's
premier lakes. This would allow me to share the knowledge
I have acquired from thousands and thousands of hours on
the water. I have built Tim Chandler' Pro Guide Service
into one of the top guide services on Lake Guntersville because
I have a commitment to the angler. You, the angler, are my
priority and I want you to enjoy your trip as YOU catch the
fish!
